Expozebu 2026 expects 400,000 visitors and bets on the global expansion of the zebu breed

The 2026 Expozebu expo in Brazil is set to attract 400,000 visitors and aims to promote the global expansion of the zebu breed.

The 91st edition of Expozebu was officially launched on Tuesday night in Uberaba, with expectations of welcoming around 400,000 visitors from April 25 to May 3. Regarded as the largest zebu trade fair in the world, this event will feature 40 auctions, nine animal shopping centers, and approximately 3,000 registered animals for judging. The scale of the event emphasizes its importance in the agricultural calendar and its role in promoting the zebu breed.

During the launch event, the Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders (ABCZ) announced the theme for the 2026 edition: "Global - because it is made by everyone." This theme highlights the international dimension of the zebu breed, underscoring the participation of Brazilian livestock farmers in emerging markets across the globe. Juan Lebron, the manager of the ABCZ's International Department, revealed that over 40 countries have already confirmed participation, showcasing a significant degree of international interest in Brazilian zebu livestock.

Among the confirmed countries is Canada, marking a first-time participation from a nation with a climate distinct from Brazil's. This interest reflects the growing global appeal of Brazilian agro-technology solutions, including sustainable farming practices and cattle management systems. The Expozebu fair is poised not only to showcase the zebu breed but also to facilitate international trade and agricultural collaborations, further solidifying Brazil's position as a leader in the global livestock market.
