The Deutsche Bahn has introduced bike-sharing as a new alternative for travelers needing transport between Cologne-Mülheim and Bergisch Gladbach due to the ongoing suspension of S-Bahn services. For the first time, passengers are provided with bicycles through the Nextbike app, in addition to the traditional replacement bus services. The newly designated "S11-Bikes" allow users to rent bicycles conveniently through the Nextbike app, enabling them to navigate a roughly ten-kilometer route flexibly.
