Four people are injured after a truck loses its brakes and hits a pickup truck and another truck
Four people were injured in an accident involving two trucks and a pickup in the rural area of Botumirim, Brazil.
On Tuesday, March 17, four individuals were injured in a serious traffic accident on the LMG-655 highway in the rural area of Botumirim, Brazil. According to the Military Police, one of the trucks lost its brakes, collided with a pickup truck, and sent it crashing onto the sidewalk, where it damaged the exterior of a nearby house located along the highway. The urgency of the situation was intensified by the fact that the truck, after hitting the pickup, continued out of control and subsequently collided head-on with another truck on the bridge over the Itacambiruçu River, which links the municipalities of Botumirim and Grão Mogol.
The driver of the truck that caused the accident sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital in Francisco Sá. However, the situation was more grave for the other truck driver, who became trapped in the wreckage and was found unconscious at the time of his rescue. Two passengers who were in the other vehicle also sustained injuries but were conscious and were provided prompt assistance by ambulances from the Samu emergency services from Botumirim and Cristália, transporting them to hospitals in Francisco Sá and Grão Mogol.
