Hooligan in a 'Mercedes-Benz' caused shock to his passenger in Kaunas: he was chased by an army of police
A driver in Kaunas disregarded police stop signals, leading to a dangerous high-speed chase that ended in a crash, and resulted in shock for his passenger.
On the evening of March 17, a police patrol in Kaunas attempted to stop a ‘Mercedes-Benz’ vehicle for verification, but the driver refused to comply and accelerated away, initiating a dangerous chase. The driver exhibited reckless behavior, driving against traffic and frequently misleading officers with false signaling, which posed a significant hazard to other road users. During the pursuit, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a street curb.
The driver, who was born in 1987, was operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license, as it had been revoked, and was found to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 1.46 prom. His passenger, also born in 1987, experienced shock from the incident and required medical attention. This reflects a troubling trend of dangerously irresponsible driving behaviors in the area and showcases the challenges faced by law enforcement in managing such incidents.
This event raises concerns about public safety on the roads, particularly from individuals who drive under the influence and lack proper licensure.
