PHOTO ⟩ Fuel prices are rising: see where it is currently cheapest to refuel

Fuel prices in Estonia are increasing due to a rise in global oil market prices caused by the Middle East conflict, but Estonian entrepreneur Heiti Hääl indicates that the country is not yet at its price peak.

Fuel prices in Estonia are on the rise as a result of increased oil prices in the global market, which have been influenced by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Heiti Hääl, a prominent entrepreneur and the majority owner of Alexela, spoke on ETV's show 'Impulss' about the impact of the oil crisis stemming from the war in Iran, indicating that Estonia has not yet reached its peak fuel prices despite the upward trend. According to Hääl, there's potential for fuel prices to rise to two euros per liter by Thursday.

Estonian fuel price information is being compiled and made accessible to the public through the website FuelEst, where prices are based on data submitted by users. The site provides an overview of the lowest known fuel prices in Estonia over the past 12 hours, putting a spotlight on local competition among fuel services to attract customers amid rising costs.

As of Wednesday morning, the cheapest price for gasoline 95 was recorded in Viljandi city center, where the price per liter stood at 1.489 euros at the Alexela gas station on Uue Street. For diesel, the lowest known price was found in Saue Krooning, where consumers are charged 1.688 euros per liter. This ongoing increase in fuel prices not only affects consumers but could also have broader implications for transportation costs and the overall economy in Estonia.
