Navratri and Ramadan are now being celebrated together peacefully in UP, says CM Yogi

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the peaceful coexistence of Navratri and Ramadan celebrations in Uttar Pradesh, attributing it to the state's zero tolerance policy against crime and unrest.

On a Wednesday event in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath released an annual report showcasing nine years of development in Uttar Pradesh. He emphasized that this progress is aided by the guidance of the Prime Minister and the dedication of party workers. During his address, he announced a budget allocation of ₹9.12 lakh crore for development initiatives, further highlighting the peaceful environment in the state where both Navratri and Ramadan are being celebrated without incident.

In his speech, Yogi Adityanath pointed out the stark contrast between the current law and order situation and that of previous administrations. He stated that under the current government, there is a noticeable lack of communal tensions and no occurrence of riots or curfews during religious festivities. He attributed this positive change to the zero-tolerance policy regarding crime and promoted a sense of safety among citizens, noting that previously, festivals were often marred by fear of disturbances.

Additionally, the Chief Minister announced an invitation to the Prime Minister for the inauguration of Jewar Airport on March 28. He also mentioned the revitalization of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), with the establishment of 34 companies and the introduction of three women battalions, which he believes further strengthens law enforcement in the state. This development marks a significant step in ensuring safety and fostering communal harmony during important cultural and religious events in Uttar Pradesh.
