'No riots, no curfew; everything is great in UP,' says CM Yogi in the Legislative Council

In a speech at the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the state's transformation under his government, criticizing previous administrations for their failure to maintain order and security.

In a recent speech at the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath discussed the positive changes in the state following the implementation of the current government's policies. He asserted that the previous governments had left Uttar Pradesh in chaos, where lawlessness was rampant with criminals effectively running parallel administrations. Since 2017, Adityanath claims that Uttar Pradesh has shifted from being a 'troubled state' to becoming a 'festival state', highlighting the establishment of the rule of law and a culture of zero tolerance towards crime. He mentioned that the state has seen no riots or curfews, indicating a significant improvement in public safety and stability.

Adityanath further emphasized the transformation by contrasting the previous 'gangster' rule with the current government's success in establishing governance and public order. He referenced the growth of economic activities related to festivals and religious tourism, mentioning that more than 21 crore devotees attended the Magh Mela, a significant increase from previous years. This rise, according to him, reflects public trust in the government's organizational abilities and security measures, showcasing a revitalized image of Uttar Pradesh as a safe and stable environment for both residents and visitors.

While addressing the issue of employment, Adityanath highlighted the government's efforts to create job opportunities, stressing that under the current administration, the focus has shifted away from fear and towards faith in governance. His remarks come as he seeks to bolster confidence among the public regarding the safety, stability, and economic potential of Uttar Pradesh, especially in the context of upcoming elections, thus reiterating his government's commitment to maintaining peace and promoting development in the region.
