Long-Term Forecast for Poland. This is What Easter Will Be Like. Meteorologists Already Know
Meteorologists have provided a long-term weather forecast for Poland, indicating fluctuating temperatures and changing weather conditions leading up to Easter 2026.
In the first half of March, Poland experienced unseasonably warm weather, with temperatures approaching 20 degrees Celsius. However, this week marked a reversal as temperatures dropped and rainfall, along with rain mixed with snow, was observed in the western and southern parts of the country. According to the long-term forecast from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW), more fluctuations in weather are expected as we approach Easter 2026.
Agnieszka Prasek, a spokesperson for IMGW, commented on the upcoming weather, stating that the country will experience a few days of variable, spring-like weather characterized by alternating cool and warm periods. Despite the fluctuations, March is projected to be warmer than usual, with temperatures in the western regions potentially reaching about 2 degrees above the long-term average by the end of the month.
Looking ahead, another shift is anticipated around the end of March and the beginning of April, with experts predicting a substantial cooling trend. The forecast suggests that this forthcoming cold wave could significantly alter the weather conditions in the lead-up to Easter, resulting in a more traditional and potentially colder Easter experience for residents in Poland.
