Long-term forecast for Poland. Snow on Easter? The forecaster reveals
A weather forecaster predicts significant temperature drops and possible snowfall in Poland following a warm spell as Easter approaches.
March has so far been a month of unusually high temperatures in Poland, with thermometers regularly showing values around 15 degrees Celsius. However, the latest forecasts indicate that this warm weather will not last much longer. By Monday, a significant cold front is expected to start moving into Poland, marking a stark shift in the weather as the initial warmth gives way to a cooling trend.
As the weather cools, temperatures in the south of Poland may slightly rise to about 20 degrees Celsius until around March 15; however, thereafter, the daytime maximums are forecasted to exceed only 10 degrees Celsius. Morning temperatures may plummet to as low as -2 to -4 degrees Celsius, leading to an anticipated chill that contrasts sharply with the prior warmth. Rainfall is likely to accompany these colder temperatures, and there is a possibility of the first instances of wet snow occurring in the northern regions as early as March 17, particularly noted in the Beskidy mountains and areas in Silesia where up to 10 centimeters may accumulate.
Looking further ahead, around March 21, more significant changes in the weather patterns are expected, suggesting that residents should prepare for a colder and potentially snowier Easter. This forecast comes as a reminder of the variability in spring weather in Poland, urging people to remain cautious and aware of the significant swings in temperature characteristic of this transitional season.
