Registries launch portal that locates data on 84 million properties in the country
Property registries in Brazil have launched a portal that aggregates data on 84 million properties, facilitating access for tax declaration requirements.
The property registries in Brazil have introduced a new portal that consolidates data from 84 million properties countrywide, making it easier for individuals to locate their assets using their CPF or CNPJ. This development is especially timely as it comes just before the start of the Income Tax declaration period, promising to streamline access to necessary information mandated by the Federal Revenue of Brazil.
This digital platform, known as RI Digital, integrates information from all 3,621 property registries across the nation. The system is managed by the ONR (National Operator of the Electronic Property Registry System), which ensures that users can easily find registered properties in any state. Essential data available through the portal includes the registration number, date of purchase, property area, and the history of records, which are vital for the Assets and Rights section of the tax declaration form.
One of the portal's most utilized features allows users to identify the specific property registry where an asset is recorded using the ownerβs CPF or CNPJ. This function is particularly beneficial for those who may have lost their property deeds or do not possess the registration number. Thus, this initiative not only enhances transparency in property registration but also supports citizens in fulfilling their tax obligations more efficiently.
