Three suspects involved in a homicide in Nova Serrana were arrested following a police chase that ended in Curvelo, where authorities seized a weapon and the getaway vehicle.
Three suspects from Bahia were arrested on Tuesday, October 17, during a coordinated operation by the Military Police in Minas Gerais, after being involved in a homicide in Nova Serrana. The incident occurred around 11:49 AM in the Fábio Aguiar neighborhood when one of the suspects exited their vehicle and shot a 25-year-old man before fleeing the scene with the other two suspects.
The suspects quickly fled towards Curvelo, prompting a rapid response from various Military Police units in the region, which engaged in a coordinated effort to track down the suspects. Their getaway vehicle was identified through intense information sharing, revealing that it had tampered license plates. The car was located speeding along the BR-135 highway.
The Military Police Road Division, supported by the Tactical Mobile Unit of Curvelo, effectively set up a perimeter and intercepted the vehicle at a public square. This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement in combating crime and demonstrates their ability to respond promptly to such violent events, further ensuring public safety.
