On Tuesday, November 17, a man disobeyed a police order to stop during an approach in Barra do Piraí, Rio de Janeiro, and attempted to flee by driving at a police officer. According to the Military Police, in response to the imminent danger posed, officers shot at the rear tire of the vehicle to prevent the suspect's escape. The chase came to an end when the suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a sidewalk in front of a market. Upon apprehension, police discovered a package of marijuana hidden in the car's engine compartment.
