Work, Inclusion and Circularity: the New Quid Laboratory Supported by Reale Foundation in Padua
Quid, a social enterprise focused on ethical fashion, has inaugurated a new production laboratory in Padua, supported by Reale Foundation, to promote sustainable textile practices and employment inclusion.
In Padua, Italy, Quid, a Verona-based social enterprise dedicated to ethical fashion, has launched a new production laboratory backed by the Reale Foundation. The initiative aims to create Italy's first ethical and sustainable textile district where material regeneration meets the empowerment of people. This aligns with Quid's mission to rewrite the narrative of textiles by emphasizing sustainability and inclusion.
The laboratory opened in early 2025, situated within the premises of the Polis Group, and currently employs ten individuals who are part of a workforce inclusion program. Among them is a coordinator who plays a pivotal role in providing training and opportunities for those at risk of exclusion from the job market. This project underscores a significant commitment to social responsibility within the fashion industry.
Supported primarily by Reale Foundation, this initiative is part of a broader collaboration initiated in 2023, where ITAS Mutua and Reale Mutua recognized Quid's efforts with the National Mutuality Award. The launch of this laboratory not only promotes sustainable practices but also highlights the importance of providing pathways to employment for marginalized individuals, thus fostering a more inclusive society in the fashion sector.
