An event titled 'From Vision to Factory' is set to take place on March 17 at the Sardinia Foundation headquarters in Sassari, where the initiative will be formally presented to the media, and pre-selected startups will be linked with local businesses.

The project is spearheaded by Eni through Joule, its enterprise school, along with the Sardinia Foundation and its instrumental company Innois, BF Educational (BFE), and is supported by Zest and The Net Value (TNV). The initiative also has the backing of the University of Sassari, University of Cagliari, Confindustria Sardegna, and Coldiretti, with technical partnership from Versalis, a chemical company under Eni's umbrella. This collaborative effort aims to advance the development and innovative solutions in the bioeconomy sector in Sardinia.

Overall, the establishment of BIOS is expected to significantly impact the local economy by fostering innovation and creating synergies between startups and existing companies, while emphasizing sustainable practices in the use of biological resources. The initiative not only aims to address local challenges in waste management and agriculture but also positions Sardinia as a competitive player in the broader European bioeconomy landscape.
