A man in Sorriso, Brazil, was arrested after breaking into a Japanese restaurant and calling the police when he became trapped inside.
In Sorriso, Mato Grosso, a man was arrested after breaking into a Japanese restaurant through the roof and consuming alcoholic beverages. Ironically, he called the police himself to report that he was stuck inside the establishment. The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 17, and the man documented his predicament by filming an apology video, which he later provided to the authorities. This unusual circumstance highlights a bizarre turn of events, where the suspect not only created trouble for the restaurant but also ended up needing police assistance.
As the police made their way to the scene, they received another call from the man stating that he had managed to leave the restaurant on his own and would wait for the police outside. When found, he had minor injuries allegedly sustained during his break-in and escape. During questioning, he informed the officers that he drank three beers and expressed remorse for his actions. The police noted that he had caused damage to the restaurantβs roof during the break-in.
Lieutenant Colonel Jorge Almeida of the Military Police confirmed that the suspect did not have any prior criminal records, making this incident particularly intriguing. The case raises questions about motivations behind such bizarre criminal behavior and the necessity of police involvement in such unforeseen circumstances. Ultimately, it serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of crime and its sometimes absurd outcomes, as well as the role of police in addressing such situations promptly.
