The police in Jaboatão dos Guararapes seized over R$ 300,000 in cash during an operation involving a moving truck, following reports of illegal transport.
The Military Police (PM) in Jaboatão dos Guararapes successfully intercepted a moving truck carrying more than R$ 300,000 in cash on Monday, October 16. The operation took place in the Piedade neighborhood after tips suggested the vehicle was transporting illegal materials. Alongside the truck, a passenger car that was following it was also stopped for investigation. Three individuals involved in the transport have been taken into custody, but their identities and ages have not been disclosed.
During the search of the moving truck, the police uncovered a total of R$ 307,236 in cash, a money counting machine, a 9mm caliber pistol along with its magazine, 245 grams of marijuana, and two mobile phones. These findings suggest a potential involvement in illegal activities beyond mere financial transport. The authorities have initiated an inquiry into the case, treating it as drug trafficking, and have taken the necessary steps to ensure the situation is fully investigated.
