Vallo supports Mayor Chren in Ružinov, parking was the dominant topic at the meeting with residents
Mayor Matúš Vallo expressed his support for Martin Chren, who is running for re-election as mayor of Ružinov, during a meeting with residents where parking issues were highlighted.
During a community meeting in Ružinov, Martin Chren confirmed his candidacy for re-election as mayor, emphasizing his commitment to serving another term. The meeting attracted considerable public interest, particularly around the recurring issue of parking in the area, which has become a central concern for residents. Chren, having previously served multiple terms, confidently assured attendees of his plans and the effectiveness of his team in addressing local challenges.
Mayor Matúš Vallo publicly backed Chren, highlighting their successful collaboration over the past eight years. While Vallo showed support, he acknowledged uncertainty regarding whether this endorsement would also reflect an official stance from the new coalition in Bratislava, which includes his party, Team Bratislava, alongside Progressive Slovakia, SaS, and the Democrats. This coalition aims to consolidate their efforts to enhance governance in Bratislava and support their candidates across various districts.
In addition to Vallo's endorsement, other coalition members, such as SaS, confirmed their support for Chren, while Progressive Slovakia stated they would not nominate a competitor against him in Ružinov. This alignment among coalition partners signifies a strategic approach to strengthen their foothold in local governance and ensures a unified front against possible opposition in the upcoming elections, focusing on maintaining and increasing their influence in the Bratislava region.
