Man is injured after being stabbed in a bar in Bahia; ex-partner is a suspect

A 47-year-old man was injured in a stabbing incident at a bar in Conceição do Coité, Bahia, with his ex-partner being the primary suspect.

A 47-year-old man sustained injuries following a stabbing incident at a bar in the central area of Conceição do Coité, a municipality in the Bahia state of Brazil, on Monday. The local military police reported that the prime suspect in this case is the man's ex-partner, who allegedly attacked him with a knife after entering the bar in an agitated state. Witnesses and the victim recalled that the suspect displayed erratic behavior, breaking furniture and threatening the individual before the attack.

The police were alerted to the scene after reports of a fight between a man and a woman inside the establishment located at Praça da Bíblia. The victim stated that he was leaving the bar when the confrontation escalated, culminating in his ex-partner assaulting him. In addition to the stabbing, the suspect is said to have vandalized the victim's motorcycle as a part of her outburst. After the assault, the suspect fled from the scene before law enforcement arrived to address the situation.

Medical assistance was advised for the victim, who was instructed to seek care at a nearby health facility while police initiated searches to locate the suspect. Although a thorough investigation is underway, the ex-partner remains at large as law enforcement continues efforts to apprehend her.
