In Barrocas, Bahia, police arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of threatening and attempting to arrange the murder of his ex-partner. The arrest occurred at a bus stop while he was on his way to work on July 25. Investigations reveal that the suspect had not accepted the end of their relationship and had made threats against the victim, as well as sought third parties to execute his intent to kill her.

The victim reported to the police that she faced physical aggression and coercion during their relationship, highlighting a pattern of abusive behavior from the suspect. With substantial evidence gathered, the court issued a preventive detention order, leading to the man's apprehension. He was taken to the Barrocas Territorial Police Station, where he remains in judicial custody.
