In the Klaipėda district of Lithuania, law enforcement has reported a troubling increase in drunk driving incidents, with eight drivers apprehended over the course of one week. Notably, on March 11th, three drivers were stopped in Kretinga with blood alcohol concentrations ranging from 0.43 to 0.56, indicating significant inebriation. These incidents highlight the ongoing issue of drunk driving in the area and the potential dangers it poses to public safety.

The reports continued with a particularly concerning case from March 13th in Alsėdžiai village, where a 1984-born driver was found with an alarming blood alcohol level of 2.3. This case sparked a preliminary investigation, further accentuating the severity of the problem. On March 14th, multiple drivers were again caught driving under the influence, including one individual with a BAC of 2.57, who was also driving without a valid license and was subsequently arrested.

These incidents have sparked discussions among community leaders and law enforcement about the need for stricter enforcement and preventive measures to combat drunk driving in Lithuania.
