On March 16, at approximately 3:13 PM, firefighters from Jonavos were called to Chemikų Street in response to an incident involving a man who fell asleep in an elevator while under the influence of alcohol. Upon arrival, rescue teams found the man lying inside the elevator with part of his foot pinned down by the stuck doors.
Firefighters utilized a crowbar to successfully pry the elevator doors open and free the trapped man. He was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment of his head injury.
