'Don't leave work unfinished in Iran, or else...', Gulf countries put pressure on Trump

Gulf countries are pressuring the U.S. not to abandon military operations against Iran amid escalating conflicts in West Asia.

In the midst of ongoing brutal conflict in West Asia, the stance of Gulf countries has shifted dramatically. While they initially refrained from directly calling for the U.S. to initiate military action against Iran, they are now exerting considerable pressure on Washington to ensure that the military campaign is not halted midway. Over the past three weeks, Iran has launched missile and drone attacks on airports, ports, and oil facilities in Gulf nations, significantly threatening global oil supply lines, particularly at the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has virtually blockaded.

Leaders and diplomats from Gulf countries now believe that Iran has crossed a 'red line' in its military aggression. They argue that the security and economic stability of the region remain at risk until Iran's military capabilities and offensive power are completely dismantled. This change in perspective highlights the increasing urgency for these nations, as they perceive Iran not only as a regional competitor but as an outright adversary threatening their sovereignty and security.

According to Abdul Aziz Sagar, the chairman of the Gulf Research Center in Saudi Arabia, the initial approach was one of defense and opposition to war. However, following direct assaults from Iran, he asserts that the notion of Iran as a foe has solidified, leaving no alternative but to confront them decisively. The Gulf countries now call for a more robust response to deter further Iranian aggression, showcasing a significant shift in their foreign policy stance towards Iran and their reliance on U.S. military support for regional stability.
