The Delhi government is preparing to introduce interstate bus services to three significant religious destinations: Katra (Vaishno Devi) in Jammu and Kashmir, Khatu Shyam in Rajasthan, and Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. Transport Minister Pankaj Singh announced this initiative on Monday, emphasizing the government's commitment to providing a comfortable and affordable travel option for the public. By increasing bus services to these important religious sites, the government aims to ensure the convenience of the devotees traveling from Delhi.

To strengthen interstate connectivity, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) will deploy 50 air-conditioned buses on 17 new routes. According to the transport minister, the fare for these services will be based on benchmark rates determined by the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings.
