In Bareilly's Izzatnagar, police reported the killing of Afzar, an accused murderer, during a police encounter following a horrific double murder. Afzar had stabbed his mother-in-law, Asma, and brother-in-law, Adil, during a family council meeting in the village of Raheepura Chaudhary. The incident escalated when Afzar used a concealed knife to attack them, leaving his wife, Saima, severely injured. Multiple police teams had been searching for him based on CCTV footage of the violent incident, which showed the gruesome attack that left two family members dead and caused panic in the community.
