On January 17, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is set to sign new decrees that aim to regulate the Digital Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA Digital). This legislation will outline specific categories of content that minors under 18 years old are prohibited from accessing on the internet, including material related to firearms, illegal gambling, and reward-based casino systems. The signing event will take place at the Palácio do Planalto at 11 AM.
Victor Fernandes, the National Secretary of Digital Rights, emphasized that the forthcoming decrees will operationalize and enhance the effectiveness of the rules established by the ECA Digital. He remarked that the new regulations will eliminate any ambiguities or
