At the Milano Cortina Paralympic Games, China has once again secured its position as the top-performing nation by earning a remarkable total of 44 medals across 79 events, consisting of 15 gold, 13 silver, and 16 bronze medals. This achievement marks China's continued dominance in the Winter Paralympics, following its previous success in Beijing, where it secured 61 medals overall, including 18 golds. China's consistent performance underscores its robust sports programs and investment in para-athletics.

The United States finished second in the medal tally with a total of 24 medals, comprising 13 gold, five silver, and six bronze. This strong performance reflects the country's ongoing commitment to supporting its athletes and competing at a high level in international events. Meanwhile, Russia, competing under its flag, took the third spot, acquiring eight medals, including one gold. Italy, as the host nation, finished fourth with seven golds, seven silvers, and two bronzes, while Austria and France rounded out the top six positions.

Among the Baltic States, Latvia was the only country to win a medal, achieving bronze in wheelchair curling. Finland added two silver medals to its tally. In total, 27 nations reached the podium, which is eight more than the number of medal-winning nations at the previous Paralympic Games held in Beijing four years ago, indicating a growing competition in para-sports globally.
