EU Funding: Three New Leader Projects for Dachau

A local committee in Dachau has selected three new projects for funding under the EU's Leader program, potentially amounting to 400,000 euros.

The local decision-making body of Dachau Agil, which acts as a local action group to secure funding from the European Union's Leader program, has recently selected three new projects for the region. These projects are now entering the application phase, and if approved, they could bring approximately 400,000 euros in funding to the area. The funding reflects the EU's commitment to supporting local initiatives that promote community development and engagement.

The largest allocation of funds, amounting to 178,532 euros, is expected to be directed towards the construction of a community storage facility in Hilgertshausen. This facility will be built next to the local fire station, and will serve not only to store firefighting equipment but also to be accessible to several local clubs, fostering community use and cooperation. The total project cost is estimated at about 425,000 euros, highlighting a significant investment in local infrastructure and resources.

Additionally, the projects include a youth area with a pump track planned at Karlsfelder See, which will receive about 114,000 euros in funding. This facility aims to create a fun and safe space for young people to engage in cycling activities. The initiatives will contribute to enhancing recreational options in the district and underscore the importance of community-led projects in the region's development.
