Unpleasant weather changes in Poland: winter has not completely bid farewell
A weather warning has been issued in Poland as temperatures are expected to drop significantly, with snowfall anticipated in various regions.
In Poland, unsettling weather changes are on the horizon, prompting the Meteorological and Water Management Institute to issue warnings. By Monday evening, significant drops in temperature are expected, leading to yellow alerts in some voivodeships. As reported by gazeta.pl, rain in western Poland will transition into sleet or snow with accumulations of up to 5 cm expected in the Sudetes and Carpathian Mountains.
Despite the overall warm daytime temperatures, with some regions reaching up to 18 degrees Celsius in the southeast, the nights will turn considerably colder. Areas in western Poland may see temperatures dip to around -1 degree, while central regions hover around freezing and eastern parts experience temperatures up to +5 degrees. Increased precipitation is likely during the night, further complicating conditions as rain turns to sleet in many areas.
Snowfall is forecasted for mountainous regions, with predictions indicating up to 10 cm of snow in the Tatra Mountains and around 5 cm in the Podhale area. As the winter season shows signs of not fully departing, residents are advised to stay informed about the changing weather conditions as they may impact travel and outdoor activities in the coming days.
