MAJOR TRANSITION: Kairjak and seven advisors leave Ellex Raidla to join Sorainen

Marko Kairjak, an expert in regulatory finance and prevention of economic crimes, joins Sorainen along with seven advisors, enhancing the firm's capabilities in Estonia and the Baltic region.

Marko Kairjak, a seasoned lawyer and expert in regulatory finance and the prevention and resolution of economic crimes, has joined the law firm Sorainen as a partner along with seven advisors from Ellex Raidla. This strategic move is set to bolster Sorainen's capacity in these critical areas, allowing the firm to provide more tailored legal services to clients in Estonia, the Baltics, and globally. Kaupo Lepasepp, the managing partner of Sorainen's Estonian office, warmly welcomed the newcomers, highlighting how their integration represents an opportunity for organic growth within the firm.

As part of his role at Sorainen, Kairjak will advise clients within the firm's finance and insurance law teams, as well as the litigation prevention and resolution teams. He will collaborate closely with the current team leaders to enhance service delivery and expertise in these domains. This transition signifies not only a shift in personnel but also a strategic enhancement of Sorainen's legal capabilities, enabling it to cater to the increasing demands for specialized legal services in an evolving market.

The addition of Kairjak and his team underscores the ongoing competition among law firms in Estonia and the Baltic region to attract top talent and expand service offerings. It reflects broader trends in the legal industry, where firms are increasingly focused on building comprehensive teams that can address diverse client needs, particularly in complex regulatory environments. This development positions Sorainen to better navigate the challenges and opportunities in legal practice within these dynamic markets.
