On Sunday evening in the neighborhood of Jóquei Clube in Boa Vista, Roraima, a 21-year-old man named Luan Victor Pereira da Costa was shot dead in front of his family. The tragic incident occurred when Luan and his wife were outside their home with their two children. His wife noticed a man riding a motorcycle who appeared to be armed and warned Luan, but he dismissed her concerns, saying it was not a problem.

Following this, a conversation started between Luan and the suspect, who attempted to engage him by showing something on his phone. The situation escalated into a dispute. After a brief interaction, the suspect returned to the motorcycle as if to leave. However, Luan approached him, leading the assailant to draw a weapon from his waistband and shoot Luan multiple times.

No individuals have been arrested following this violent act, leaving the community in shock and raising concerns about safety in the area. The body of Luan has been taken to the Medical Legal Institute (IML) of Roraima for forensic examination, as the investigation continues to seek leads into the identity and motives of the shooter, prompting discussions about emergency response and crime prevention efforts in Boa Vista.
