A 45-year-old drug dealer was arrested in northern Greece after police discovered nearly 5 kilograms of cannabis concealed in his car's bumper.

Police in northern Greece arrested a 45-year-old man on Sunday night for drug trafficking following a coordinated operation by the Drug Prosecution Department. The suspect was apprehended as he entered a parking area along the National Road near Thessaloniki, after officers had utilized intelligence to track him down. Upon searching his vehicle, authorities found 10 packages of raw cannabis, weighing a total of 4,955 grams, carefully hidden within the rear bumper.

In addition to the substantial cannabis seizure, police confiscated the suspect's vehicle, a mobile phone, and eight toll receipts. The apprehension was part of broader efforts to combat organized crime in the region, specifically addressing the trafficking of narcotics. Furthermore, a traffic station was called to the scene to document any violations of the traffic code by the driver and the foreign owner of the vehicle.

The arrested individual was subsequently brought before the competent authorities to face charges formulated against him.
