Unidentified object crashed in the forest in Lublin Voivodeship. Police and Military Police on-site
An unidentified object, potentially military, crashed in a forest in Poland's Lublin region, prompting a police and military investigation.
On Monday morning, a 70-year-old man alerted police in WΕodawa after discovering an unidentified object while clearing trees on his forested property. He reported that the object could be debris from a military aerial vehicle, a drone, or a rocket. The remnants, which are embedded in a tree and the ground, are gray and measure several dozen centimeters in size; some have markings in English, suggesting a military connection.
The discovery comes in the context of heightened scrutiny and concern over aerial objects, particularly following an incident on March 12, when another unidentified object resembling a drone was found in a brown coal mine in Wielkopolska, near Konin. This raises questions about whether there is an increase in such occurrences or simply a growing awareness among the public and authorities regarding unidentified aerial phenomena.
Law enforcement, including police bomb disposal experts and military personnel, are currently managing the investigation, cordoning off the area where the object was found. This incident reflects ongoing issues concerning airspace security and the potential implications of unidentified military technology in civilian areas, evoking a sense of caution among local communities.
