Petrolina opens selection for Via Crucis 2026 performances
Petrolina's city government is currently accepting applications for theatrical performances as part of the Via Crucis 2026 event.
The city government of Petrolina, Brazil, has announced the opening of applications for theatrical performances to be featured in the upcoming Via Crucis 2026 event. The selected performances will take place from April 2 to 4, 2026, across various neighborhoods in the city. This initiative aims to engage the local artistic community and enhance cultural engagement within the region.
A total of six theatrical proposals will be selected, with the application period running until March 23, 2026. Interested applicants, whether individuals or organizations, must have a minimum of three years of proven experience in performances and should be residents of Petrolina. This ensures that the event showcases local talent and supports the cultural sector of the municipality.
Each selected group will receive a grant of R$ 7,150, cumulatively amounting to R$ 42,900 allocated to foster cultural projects in the area. The funding is viewed as an essential step towards strengthening the local cultural scene and providing opportunities for artists to present their work to the community during this significant event.
