Latvian residents can now purchase prescription medications in Croatia by redeeming their e-prescriptions, following the commencement of basic health data exchange between Latvia and Croatia.
Latvian residents will soon have the capability to obtain prescription drugs in Croatia, facilitated by the ability to redeem their e-prescriptions as announced by the Latvian Digital Health Center (LDVC). This initiative is part of a larger framework of health data exchange that has begun between Latvia and Croatia, which currently allows Latvian healthcare professionals to access fundamental health data of Croatian citizens. This one-way data availability means that while services can be obtained by Croatians in Latvia, the reverse access for Latvians in Croatia is slated to be introduced gradually.
