Czechia expects "April" weather, snow possible on the spring equinox

Czechia is forecasted to experience fluctuating weather, with snow expected in the mountains and varying temperatures throughout the week.

The Czech Republic is bracing for a week of unpredictable weather, as reported by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. The week will start with overcast skies and snowfall in the mountains, particularly in the Beskids and Jeseníky regions. As the temperatures rise throughout the week, they could reach up to 15 degrees Celsius by Wednesday, signifying a shift from the cold to milder conditions, though clouds and snow are expected to return by Friday.

Meteorologists describe the upcoming weather as moody, with Monday featuring variable cloudiness and local showers. The initial part of the week will see temperatures ranging from six to 13 degrees Celsius, while gusty winds might disrupt the days, with speeds reaching up to 55 kilometers per hour in some areas. By Tuesday night, there is a chance that temperatures will drop to as low as minus three degrees Celsius.

As the week progresses, weather conditions are set to improve slightly on Wednesday and Thursday, with warmer temperatures and more sunshine expected. However, nights may still bring fog and freezing temperatures in some places. This capricious weather pattern aligns with traditional expectations of "April" weather in the region, raising questions about how it may affect the start of spring activities for the populace.
