Spring is in full swing in Czechia, but the weekend will surprise sun lovers

Czechia is experiencing a warm spring, but the upcoming weekend will bring cooler temperatures and clouds, surprising those who enjoy sunny weather.

The weather in Czechia has taken a turn towards spring, with temperatures expected to hover around 15 degrees Celsius in the coming days. However, nighttime temperatures are predicted to remain slightly above freezing throughout the week. On Thursday, temperatures will vary between 4 to 8 degrees Celsius, potentially dropping to as low as 2 degrees Celsius under persistently cloudy conditions.

Thursday is predicted to be mostly overcast, with the eastern regions experiencing lesser cloud cover and occasional fog. Light rain might also occur in parts of Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia, with daytime temperatures ranging between 9 and 13 degrees Celsius, while areas in Moravia and Silesia could witness temperatures rise between 12 to 16 degrees Celsius during the day. In mountainous regions, particularly above 1,000 meters, daytime temperatures are expected to be around 5 degrees Celsius.

The weekend outlook shows a predominantly cloudy sky, particularly on Saturday, which may be partly sunny with isolated showers expected in the afternoon across Bohemia. Daytime temperatures could reach up to 18 degrees Celsius, although in western Bohemia they may drop to 11 degrees. The temperatures on Saturday night are expected to remain above freezing, while Sunday forecasts indicate a noticeable cooling trend throughout the day. This weather pattern suggests a transitional phase in spring, which may disrupt weekend outdoor plans for those seeking sunny weather.
