The deceased, 60-year-old Rajabhau Subrao Londhe, was a retired head of the department at a government engineering college and had been missing for nearly 40 days. After his family reported him missing, the case was handed over to the crime branch, which launched a thorough investigation that ultimately uncovered the grim truth behind his disappearance.
The investigation revealed that Londhe had been lured to a farmhouse by the main accused, Vishal Rathod, under the pretense of a party. However, it was later discovered that this was merely a facade, as Rathod and Londhe had been embroiled in a financial dispute. During the gathering, Rathod allegedly intoxicated Londhe with liquor and, in a calculated move, shot him. To eliminate evidence of their crime, Rathod and his accomplices buried Londhe's body in a deep grave in the jungle.
