Binary system changes traffic on two main roads in Vila Velha; see how it looks
A new traffic management system has been implemented in Vila Velha, Brazil, allowing two main roads to operate in one direction only.
A new traffic system has been introduced in Vila Velha, Brazil, starting at 5 a.m. on Monday, October 16. This binomial system affects two major thoroughfares: the Rodovia do Sol and the Avenida Saturnino Rangel Mauro, which will now operate in only one direction to improve traffic flow. The Avenida Saturnino Rangel Mauro will be directed towards Guarapari, while the Rodovia do Sol will direct traffic towards the Terceira Ponte.
In response to the updates, approximately 60 municipal traffic agents will be deployed to assist drivers as they navigate the new traffic patterns. This is aimed at ensuring a smooth transition to the new system and minimizing confusion as residents adjust to the changes. There are expectations that the adjustments will enhance overall traffic efficiency in the regional area, particularly during peak traffic hours.
Alongside the introduction of the new traffic system, construction work is also commencing on the Rodovia do Sol to modify the central median of the road. These changes are expected to provide better road conditions and safety for drivers and pedestrians alike. The construction work will take place during daylight hours due to the significant noise generated by machinery, indicating an active effort to improve local infrastructure in Vila Velha.
