93% of Nigerians say country heading in wrong direction – ADC

A recent survey reveals that 93% of Nigerians feel the country is moving in the wrong direction, largely due to dissatisfaction with President Bola Tinubu’s administration and worsening living conditions.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released a statement indicating that a staggering 93% of Nigerians believe the country is on the wrong trajectory. This claim is supported by survey data highlighting widespread dissatisfaction under President Bola Tinubu's administration. According to ADC’s National Publicity Secretary, Bola Abdullahi, this discontent stems from increasing poverty levels, deteriorating living conditions, and overall economic hardship that many citizens are currently experiencing.

In their critique, the ADC pointed out that the poverty rate in Nigeria has surpassed 63%, attributing the struggles faced by citizens to the policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC). They argue that the current administration has failed to address the key issues affecting the populace, leading to heightened levels of despair and hopelessness among Nigerians. The situation raises concerns about the government’s ability to implement effective reforms that would alleviate these pressing problems.

In response to these claims, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka defended President Tinubu’s administration by stating that ongoing reforms are generating significant results. He asserted that many Nigerians support these efforts and see potential improvements on the horizon. This back-and-forth highlights the stark division in public opinion regarding the government's performance and the pressing need for policy changes that genuinely address the challenges faced by the nation.
