Tivoli Garden Shapes Up at Training Camp in Vordingborg
The Tivoli Garden concludes a three-day training camp in Vordingborg as it prepares for the start of its season with a parade in Copenhagen.
The Tivoli Garden, the world's oldest youth guard established in 1844, has wrapped up a three-day training camp at Vordingborg Barracks in Denmark, where 95 young guards aged 7 to 16 practiced their musical, marching, and parade formation skills. The season kicks off on March 27 with a grand parade in Copenhagen, highlighting the group's tradition and community involvement. Quincy Alexander Von Lippert, the leader of the Tivoli Garden, emphasized that the training camp is not only about honing their skills but also fosters friendships that strengthen among the participants.
Founded by Tivoli's creator, Georg Carstensen, Tivoli Garden consists of various ensembles including a music corps, a drummer corps, and a flag guard, functioning as an elite music school for both boys and girls. With a focus on both musical excellence and teamwork, the training camp aims to enhance the members' performance capabilities while building a sense of community. The upcoming parade is a significant event, bringing attention to the rich heritage of the Tivoli Garden and its contributions to Danish culture.
As the members gear up for this important public appearance, the Tivoli Garden not only represents excellence in youth music education but also embodies the spirit of unity and cooperation, essential elements that are nurtured during such camp experiences. The organization remains a vital part of Denmark's cultural landscape, continuing to inspire young talents year after year.
