According to a report from the U.S. Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian armed forces are ramping up their capabilities to repel Russian missile attacks while simultaneously weakening Russian air defenses and disrupting their offensive operations. Ukrainian forces have targeted a number of key installations, including a launch facility for the Iskander-M ballistic missile in occupied Crimea, as well as a Nebo-U radar station and various military storage facilities, command posts, and air defense systems located in occupied territories. Analysts note that these strikes have been particularly focused on the Russian military and armaments in Eastern and Southern Ukraine, where Russian forces have concentrated their offensive operations.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces have begun to intensify their artillery strikes against Russian multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) in the direction of Sloviansk and Konstantinyvka. This is expected to diminish Russia's ability to conduct artillery preparation for possible ground operations in these areas.
