In a tragic incident in the Madona municipality, three individuals fell through ice on a lake, leading to the death of one while two were successfully rescued by emergency services. The State Fire and Rescue Service of Latvia responded to an emergency call at 15:55 on Saturday, and rescue teams worked quickly to retrieve the victims. Two people were brought safely to shore and handed over to emergency medical personnel, but unfortunately, the third individual was found deceased.
