A drunk man in Kaunas kicked a police officer in an attempt to evade arrest for a public order offense.
In the early hours of March 15, a 20-year-old man was involved in an incident in a bar located on LaisvÄ—s Avenue in Kaunas. The individual, who had a blood alcohol content of 1.76, attempted to avoid being arrested for violating public order by physically resisting the police. During the struggle, he kicked a uniformed officer from the Kaunas District Police's Response Division, which resulted in physical pain for the officer, although he did not seek medical assistance and continued his duties.
The 20-year-old suspect was subsequently detained and placed in a holding cell as law enforcement began an investigation into the matter. This incident highlights ongoing issues with public disorder and the challenges faced by police in managing drunk individuals in social settings.
