Spring is Gaining Momentum: Record Heat Expected on Sunday, but Rain May Also Come

Lithuania is expecting record heat this Sunday, along with localized brief rain showers and changing weather patterns over the upcoming days according to the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

The Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service has issued a weather forecast for the upcoming days, predicting record high temperatures this Sunday. Specifically, temperatures are expected to reach between 11 to 16 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country, with slightly cooler conditions around the Curonian Spit. However, the forecast also indicates the possibility of sporadic rain, particularly in the western regions.

As the week progresses, the weather is expected to change significantly, with the potential for rain primarily affecting the western part of the country on Monday. The winds will shift to come from the southwest and west later in the day, and temperatures will drop at night to between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius, before rising again during the day. These fluctuations are indicative of the variable spring weather that Lithuania typically experiences this time of year.

By Tuesday, light rain is expected in some areas, along with cooler temperatures that might lead to fog and icy conditions overnight. The temperature is projected to range from -2 to 3 degrees Celsius overnight and 6 to 13 degrees Celsius during the day, depending on the region. This erratic weather could remind residents of the unpredictability associated with seasonal transitions, influencing activities and plans as spring continues to unfold.
