A serious accident occurred on the BR-153 highway in São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, where four people were injured in a vehicle collision that took place in the early hours of Saturday, October 14. According to reports from the police, the two cars were traveling in opposite lanes when one vehicle lost control due to an unexpected maneuver, leading to a side collision. Following the initial impact, the car that lost control overturned twice, coming to a halt approximately a hundred meters down the road.

The Police Road Unit revealed that the driver of the car that initiated the collision lost control while driving in the right lane, subsequently colliding with another vehicle traveling in the left lane. The police reported that there were four young adults in the car that overturned, all aged between 20 and 25 years. Two of them suffered serious injuries, while the other two experienced minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident stopped to assist the injured victims.

This incident raises concerns regarding road safety on the BR-153, known for its significant traffic.
