The Ogun State Government has made a significant move to support local businesses by disbursing a cheque of ₦500 million to the Ogun State Cooperatives Federation Limited. The funds were presented during a ceremony in Abeokuta, facilitated by the Ministry of Community Development and Cooperatives, which underscores the government's commitment to fostering economic development at the community level.

During the event, the Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Ademola Balogun, emphasized that the disbursed funds represent a strategic investment in the state’s human capital, aligning with Governor Dapo Abiodun’s development agenda called ISEYA, which aims to create sustainable wealth for all residents of Ogun State. Balogun pointed out the importance of this financial assistance in empowering local cooperatives and enhancing their capacity to contribute to the economy.
