Zoriks scores 10 points in return game in Turkey
Latvian basketball player Kristers Zoriks scored ten points in his return match in the Turkish league, despite his team losing to Istanbul's Bahcesehir Koleji.
Latvian basketball player Kristers Zoriks marked his comeback in the Turkish championship by scoring ten points during the game played on Friday. Zoriks, who previously started his season in Spain before moving to Italy, played for over 36 minutes and managed to contribute offensively with both two-point attempts and a three-pointer, in addition to making free throws. Despite his efforts, his team, Denizli 'Merkezefendi', suffered a defeat, falling to Istanbul's 'Bahcesehir Koleji' with a score of 65-79.
In the match, Zoriks showcased his skills not only by scoring but also by collecting four rebounds and providing two assists. However, he faced challenges on the court, reflected in his team’s negative +/- rating of -17 during the match. The game statistics included 13 points from Sems Griffin for the home team and 16 points from Ismet Akpinar, which proved significant in securing the victory for the Istanbul side.
