Dog escapes from pet hotel in Paraná and police investigate

A border collie named Colby escaped from a pet hotel in Paraná, prompting an investigation by the police.

In early February, a one-year-and-three-month-old border collie named Colby went missing after escaping from a pet hotel in Campo Magro, a municipality located in the metropolitan area of Curitiba, Brazil. Colby's owner, Vitória Buba, had placed him and another dog, Snow, in the care of the hotel while she traveled abroad, expecting them to stay until February 15, during which time they would also receive training. Despite initial assurances from the pet hotel owner and a recommendation from Colby's trainer, Vitória expressed concerns over the lack of communication from the hotel staff who failed to provide regular updates or access to a security camera feed that would have allowed her to check on her dogs' welfare.
