Tarcísio announces donation of land for the construction of an oncology treatment hospital in Itu

Governor Tarcísio de Freitas has announced the donation of land in Itu (SP) for a new oncology hospital, set to become a regional reference in cancer treatment.

Governor Tarcísio de Freitas revealed plans to donate land in Itu, São Paulo, for a new oncology hospital that aims to become a leading facility for cancer treatment in the region. This announcement was made during a recent ceremony where the governor also delivered 200 ambulances to enhance patient transportation in the public healthcare network.

The upcoming hospital will feature 330 onco beds and employ over 2,000 professionals, offering comprehensive services such as radiology and chemotherapy. In addition, it will include 30 surgical centers capable of handling complex procedures, including neurosurgery as well as surgeries related to the head and neck. The facility is expected to serve patients from a total of 48 municipalities, significantly improving access to specialized cancer care in the area.

This initiative not only marks another step towards enhancing healthcare infrastructure in São Paulo but also underscores the government's commitment to addressing the needs of cancer patients in the region. The partnership between the Amaral Carvalho Foundation and the Itu City Hall highlights a collaborative effort to provide necessary medical facilities and services to the community, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care locally.
