Governor Tarcísio de Freitas attended the delivery of 200 health vehicles for São Paulo's interior cities, aiming to enhance medical transport services.

Governor Tarcísio de Freitas participated in a ceremony on Thursday morning in Itu, São Paulo, marking the delivery of 200 health vehicles comprising 80 ambulances and 120 vans to enhance medical transport for various municipalities. This initiative aims to bolster healthcare access in 200 cities across the interior of the state, with the vehicles being designated for patient transport to consultations, exams, and treatments.

The event, held at Praça Washington Luís in Jardim do Estádio, highlights the state government's commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure, particularly in less accessible areas. The total investment for this implementation phase amounts to R$ 53 million, reflecting a significant allocation of resources to ensure that each of the selected municipalities receives either a van or an ambulance. Notably, Sorocaba is set to receive 15 vehicles as part of the distribution.

This delivery is part of a broader strategy to enhance health services in São Paulo. The vehicles are expected to be operational by the first semester of 2026, underpinning the government's proactive stance in tackling healthcare accessibility issues. By improving transport for patients, the initiative serves to facilitate better healthcare delivery and potentially improve health outcomes in the covered regions.
